“MyChurch” notes & video – Pastor James – 02/05/12
February 5th – Vision Casting
“MyChurch”
Opening:
This church doesn’t want something from you, but for you. We want something for you. We do church, because the whole New Testament was written about the church, and it’s an outlet of Jesus love to people. We teach the Word, and we do things to allow you an outlet to do the gospel and be the church.
(KJV) Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
- Important point: they were already “fishers”. He is saying to them that He can use them in what they are already good at. He wants to use their gifts that they were naturally gifted and already trained in.
- It’s going to take some work
- Gotta throw out the net
- There will be some days that don’t seem productive
- You can’t catch fish without throwing out the net
Skip down a paragraph
(KJV) Matthew 4:23-25 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
- Kingdom: referring to the reign of the Messiah. A new ruler. A new kingdom than they’ve ever seen so far. He’s inviting them into a new order. One that will last through them, because He is coming to live in them. Training first, however.
- This church teaches about this kingdom. You’ll notice if you hang out long enough at Life Christian, that we focus on this new kingdom on earth. It’s filled with grace, the entire benefit package of salvation, healing, goodness, favor, love, etc.
24: And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
- Do you see that Jesus defines the kingdom by actions in verse :24? All bad stuff has to flee and get lost, because it doesn’t belong in the new kingdom on earth.
25: And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and [from] Decapolis, and [from] Jerusalem, and [from] Judaea, and [from] beyond Jordan.
- Naples, Bonita, Golden Gate, Marco Island, etc.
Overview of last year – August thru January
- Started with 57 people in Aug – 158 people were in this building on Jan 22nd
- We had to get another space for the students and Spanish Ministry
- We are breaking down walls of divide in the church. Divide is this – denominational and language…we are working on language barriers
- Salvations, healing, breakthroughs, families coming back together that were doomed for divorce – read the blog.
- Healed – lifted off the floor and back straightened
- Restored – marriage restoration
- Financial breakthrough – had need, started giving and God stepped in
- Salvations – people were saved and moving forward in getting to know Jesus
There will be more people trusting God than themselves this year than we’ve ever seen! Last year was nothing in comparison!
How many have lost their keys before? How bout your phone? How bout your kid? Or even your car?
- Irresponsible.
I wouldn’t continue trusting you more than God this year, if I were you. - “I’m just going to do it this way.” Instead, this year, what about I’m going to find out what God says and do it that way.
- If you are in the Word a bit, you might not know what God exactly says about your issue. However, that Word is inspired and you’ll know what God would do. You put time in the Word, you will find peace in the choice that God would make and you’ll follow that.
How do we do this?
- (KJV) 1 Corinthians 11:1Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.
- 1Cor 4:16; 1Thes 1:6; 1Thes 2:14; Heb 6:12; 1Pet 3:13
- Followers of good; followers of the church; followers of Jesus in them
- Paul is saying this: I’m staying in the “red” as much as I can, with God’s help. So, follow me, as I follow Jesus.
- In the “red”
- Matthew 5, 6, 7
- Business folks don’t like this term. “In the red“, usually means negative numbers. We’re going to flip the lid on this term. Jesus is the red in scripture, if you’ve got a Bible with red being His words.
- 1Cor 4:16; 1Thes 1:6; 1Thes 2:14; Heb 6:12; 1Pet 3:13
- Pastor Sarah Marie has made it her life’s work to help us do this.
- I always say, “Thank God for Jesus,” but also need to say “thank Jesus for Pastor Sarah Marie.”
- She has made it her life’s work to state the same as the Apostle Paul. Without words, this is what she’s done.
- Her call to 1 over 5
- God didn’t call Pastor Sarah Marie to do His mission by herself…that would be too easy. You ever think, “this would be so much easier without this other person?” sometimes it stinks to work with people. Honestly. How do you think Jesus felt?
- Jesus could have done so much more without these guys, but if we would have He would have had to stay here. The explosion of salvations happened when He rose from the dead, baptized these guys, and sent them out.
- I’m so glad that Pastor Sarah Marie allowed me to get involved in her call with her. If not, I don’t know where I would be.
- God didn’t call Pastor Sarah Marie to do His mission by herself…that would be too easy. You ever think, “this would be so much easier without this other person?” sometimes it stinks to work with people. Honestly. How do you think Jesus felt?
- I always say, “Thank God for Jesus,” but also need to say “thank Jesus for Pastor Sarah Marie.”
Behind a video camera at Life…God met me there.
- “oh, they need help“…that’s what I thought. I needed help, and got it behind a camera.
- Serving and being around the Word being preached as much as possible changed my life. God will take what you do for His kingdom here and use it for your good.
If you want to grow, you’re in the right spot.
- I do a lot with social media, and I had to write a description on all the networks…the one thing I came up with was “a place where you will grow“, that basically sums it up completely.
- I’m looking at the best year that has ever happened to me. Not sure how you’re feeling about it, but that’s how mines gonna be. It is strictly up to you though.
(KJV) Mark 6:34 – And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
- Jesus had compassion for the sheep without a shepherd
- There has been some shepherding that hasn’t taken place. There has been some wandering and wondering. There has been some misleading.
- I’m asking you to jump back in. To trust the God in this church. To turn your trust to the God in this leadership team…you will never be the same. This church will never be the same. The biggest impact is yet to come.
From this church to you:
- We will help you be the church
- We will help you serve the people that God called you to serve
- We will help you grow in your gifts and use them affectively for the kingdom here on earth
- We will do what God called this church to do through you. 1 over 5 style.
- Here’s how you can get to thinking this way:
- I’m not asking that you follow blindly, I’m asking that you make a new commitment to get into that Bible.
- If every time you opened your Bible there was a fifty dollar bill in there, you’d open it more frequently. If there was a sticky note with your answer on it on the page that you open to each time, you’d open it more frequently. If there was a picture of the man or woman that you’re looking for with their twitter handle on it, you’d open it more frequently.
- Knowing His will
- (KJV) Mark 3:35 – For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
- Jesus wouldn’t say this in the scriptures if it wasn’t possible to know His Father’s will for you.
- Very interesting, He then asks them to feed the 5000. They ask Him about spending. They check the budget. This shows that they had it in the bank, but Jesus says in basics, “I’m not asking you to spend, I’m asking you to serve out of my abundance that I’ve already provided. You may not see it yet, but I’ve provided it already.
- If you recall they go back to count what they have. 5 loaves and 2 fish
- 5 is the number of grace
- 2 is a number of dividing up
- He’s saying, “my grace is sufficient for you. Take the 5 (grace) and divide it up. Distribute my grace, and you’ll see what you have here on earth.
- (KJV) Mark 6:43And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
- The number 12 means – “anointed to serve” – anointed to serve my grace, and there will be leftovers!
- I’m not asking that you follow blindly, I’m asking that you make a new commitment to get into that Bible.
You are anointed to serve!
- You haven’t yet seen your true potential. This is your year.
- I believe that this year is the best year you’ve ever seen. If you don’t want it, I’m taking it no matter what. Let’s partake together this year and see what the Lord has in store.
CTWG “with” by: Pastor James notes/video 01/22/22 (English & Spanish)
CTWG – “with” – by: Pastor James
01/22/12
Matthew 19:26 – But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
- “with God”, not for God, to God, because of God
- We have a “with God” relationship
- The only thing impossible for God is to lie (Hebrews 6:18). Every other time that word is used its regarding man. This is good news, because everything in that Word about you is then impossible to be untrue. You are much more impressive than you thought or give yourself credit for.
“with” – accompanied, alongside, in proportion to, before, after
- High school basketball game alone story: I’d like to see your child show up to his high school basketball game with only him and see how well he does.
- If you’re not “with” Him, you’re alone and setup to lose.
- Alone: It’s very obvious that 1 on 5 isn’t fair. What’s not so obvious is that we’ve been doing this for a long time in our personal lives.
- Lunch: Everyone has forgotten their lunch from time to time. When lunchtime roles around, you realize that you’ll never do that again.
- Clothes: Anyone ever forget to get dressed in the morning when heading out the door to go to work? Why not?
- We don’t put the same emphasis on our “with relationship” with God. What if you were to die the second you walked out of the house without God? Would that change your perspective? I imagine you wouldn’t leave without Him, if that were the case.
- Sometimes I wonder how many things Jesus fends off in my life on a daily basis? How many attacks that the enemy planned for destruction, that I don’t even see, because God pushes the enemy away before I even see it. Those things that I never even saw coming.
- Isaiah 58:8 (KJV) Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward (rearguard).
- I don’t know about you, but I’m usually pretty focused on my tasks. I’ve noticed about myself, that I can see very well what is on my list and in front of me. However, what is behind me or in the shadows is my biggest weakness. I can’t see it, don’t know it’s there, and get surprised by it.
- This is where I can easily miss it. In the unseen attacks.
- “righteousness shall go before” – He’s telling us what to focus on. Focus on your righteousness in Christ. Not on you, but on Him. Focusing on your right standing with the Father, will protect you from the wrong thoughts and insufficiency that you likely focus on many times.
- “the glory of the Lord is your rearguard” – do you realize that the glory of the Lord is unapproachable? Sin, negative forces, bad initiatives, attacks, etc. can’t come near you with the glory of the Lord taking up the rearguard.
- The glory of the Lord turned a guys hair gray
- Sin couldn’t be present in the glory of God
- Stagecoach story “shotgun”
- You won’t make it on your own. Good news is, you don’t have too.
- With God all things are possible, even a trek across enemy territory. Honestly, many of you trek across enemy territory everyday. It’s dangerous out here, if you forgot your shotgun.
(KJV) Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
- I (forgiveness, grace, love, mercy, protection, etc) am with you always. We recognize it when we spend time WITH Him.
- Our biggest challenge is recognizing that everything we need is readily available in Jesus. And He is always near.
- Sometimes being with someone isn’t enough, if you don’t understand what they are there for. If you’re not in relationship, understanding each other, hearing each other, and truly listening.
- running camp storymy sophomore year of high school. I thought that it would just be a lot of running and not much else. However, we had to go thru the rules of the camp first. Some of the rules were these:
- No headphones in your ears while running.
- They wanted to make sure that we could hear each other while running
- Terminology: they had terms that we would all understand. “car back” meant that there was a car coming from behind. “car front” meant coming from the front.
- You see, there’s a difference between hearing and listening.
- No headphones in your ears while running.
- running camp storymy sophomore year of high school. I thought that it would just be a lot of running and not much else. However, we had to go thru the rules of the camp first. Some of the rules were these:
In a “with relationship”, there is hearing, listening and understanding that needs to take place. This is for our safety and the safety of our relationship.
“good relationship” – number one thing is communication; listening is the first step in communication and relationship.
- Listening and hearing are two totally different things
- I can hear you, but I’m not listening; he heard me, but he didn’t listen.
- Listening involves obedience. Listening involves a change in direction, or a change of plans many times.
- (KJV) James 1:22But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
- Not hearers only. When you couple hearing with doing, you get “listening”.
- I can hear you, but I’m not listening; he heard me, but he didn’t listen.
John 10:27 (KJV) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me
- Hear (better word is listen): to attend to, consider what is or has been said
- A parent to child:
- “Did you hear me?” – wrong question. Of course they heard, but didn’t listen
- “Are you listening?” – better question. Are you perceiving, putting thought to, or understanding my direction.
- “You didn’t listen”, what you’re actually saying is: “you didn’t obey” or “you didn’t follow my direction”.
- God is always speaking…are we always hearing or listening???
- When you open the Word, you are allowing God to speak. Opening the Word is like opening God’s mouth. This is why I worship before I open the Word, I’m preparing myself to hear, understand and listen for my day.
Example of how you can test your listener:
- Take some feedback from your wife or kids on how you listen
- Pay attention to how much you retain from conversations with those close to you.
- The way we listen to people around us is a reflection of how we listen to God.
Ephesians 5:21 (KJV) – Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
- Submitting one to another means listening one to another
James 1:19 – So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath
- These things are trained into us when we spend time with God.
- Slow to wrath is a difficult one. Being in His presence, with Him, reminds us continually how much He loves us, how much He cares, and sometimes even how much He’s got to put up with in us. So, we are more apt to return the favor to others.
What does your “with” look like?
- Facebook, Yahoo news, fox news, google currents, or YouTube?
- We’re listening to the news, and we’re very tuned in. Spending time “with” all this outside influence. How do we get out of the noise, so that we can properly assess all that we’re taking in?
John 15 – Abiding in the Vine:
Jesus’ words in this passage give specifics regarding what it is like living WITHOUT being connected to the VINE, and what it is like living WITH connection to the VINE:
Without:
-I can do nothing
-I wither, I am only good for kindling wood (short, unimpressive, non-abundant life)
-I am disconnected from the source and flow of life
-I can not bear fruit
With:
-All Things are Possible
-Ask and it shall be given
-I bear much fruit
- Prophecy for 2012:
- Psalm 147:14 “The Lord shall establish peace withinyour borders.”
- Your border starts with your mind, threads thru your household.
- When you let Jesus come in with you, there is peace that follows
- Borders: house, work, impact area
- Psalm 147:14 “The Lord shall establish peace withinyour borders.”
Are you ready to receive that Word? Are you ready for a peaceful year, like you’ve never seen before? Are you ready for your “with” to take on your life instead of your “you”?

Healing Service @ Life Christian Church Naples January 25, 2012
Don’t miss Life Christian Church’s Healing Service (Naples Campus), Wednesday January 25 at 7pm with Pastor Leonard Gardner bringing a powerful Word.
Lifting the Veil
Recently when Pastor Tracy was teaching on Paul, I could only describe it in one word “awesome.” The Holy Spirit was speaking loud and clear. This is a testimony speaking of the veils. I talk to people now and then about this because it has such a big impact on me.
If we may, we’ll go back to January 2011, at my dad’s funeral. Pastor Tracy and Pastor Mary Stork came to the funeral home to comfort me and my sister Patricia. We really appreciated both of them. I never really got to say thank you. But here’s the awesome part, we didn’t know at the time that they were bringing along the Holy Spirit. When they both left, I don’t know when exactly, but a veil was lifted from me as clearly as when a person takes off a shirt over their head and then there’s light!
To this day I’m still not exactly sure what happened! But, I have been a different man ever since. I’m a new creation, glory to God! I could go on and on. Sometimes my sister calls me ramblin’ Robbie, in love. But I thought that I should share this since Pastor Tracy spoke so clearly about the veil. I mean the Holy Spirit spoke so clearly, I hear Him often, me and my sister both hear him often clear as day-at church, anywhere, and everywhere.
God at work from a man’s point of view
Life Christian Church Naples Campus testimony
“God at work from a man’s point of view”
On Friday I was preparing to embark on a four- hundred mile trip with the family in our van. As I was walking to the drivers side door to start the vehicle up, I was told/urged to look down at the left rear tire where I made a important discovery. The tread from the tire had begun to separate at the side wall. A space some four inches long on the side of the tire was present and a cavity had opened up inside the tire itself. Knowing that the tire would surely fail, we opted to take our other vehicle on the trip.
As if the blessing of finding the failed tire is not enough, when I returned home and started to remove the tire so it could be replaced one of the lug bolts broke off under the torque of the wrench. When I started on the second lug bolt it too was ruined.

I immediately stopped and gave Thanks to God for his covering on my family. I am certain that if we had left on our journey, the tire would have failed and then we would have been stranded, unable to fix the problem. Learning to listen FOR and TO the voice of our Heavenly Father in our everday life has proven its reward again in my life. Giving thanks to the Almighty Lord for his timing on our behalf.
CTWG week 2 – Pastor James – notes & video 01/08/12
CTWG: “Consistent” week 2
notes and video
- God wants to hear from you and spend time with you. Not just once, but consistently.
- He’s happy with anything you give Him. Theres not a requirement of the amount of time that you have to spend. I always tell the students, God is excited about every second that you spend with Him.
- The hardest part for most people is “consistency”
- We get caught up with our work, schedule, or sleep and we can’t seem to get our quiet time in. Maybe we even pray on the way to work and call it good. You see God loves that, but there’s more for you.
- Caught up “doing” instead of “being”
- Doing
- Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22-25 NIV)
- Doer of the Word…without the Word
- Running ahead without checking in
- Getting your hands dirty before knowing where to put them
- Being
- The righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21)
- All wisdom and revelation is yours (Ephesians 1:17-19)
- The head and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28:13)
- Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22-25 NIV)
- Doing
- The battle is between your ears, but you’ve been trying to handle it with your hands
- Caught up “doing” instead of “being”
- Mindset- fixed mental attitude that predetermines an interpretation of a situation
- Perception is reality…that’s scary
- Consistency will change your mindset
- Knowing His intent, knowing His will, thinking like He thinks…through His Word
- Jesus and the Word are one in the same. (John 1:1) When you spend time in the Word, you are implanting Jesus, His thoughts, intentions, and motives into yourself.
- Matthew 6:33 (KJV)- But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
- “seek” – to aim; to strive after
- “first” – proton- the positive part of the group/molecule
- Seeking Him “first” puts a positive, Jesus type spin on everything that you think and experience.
- First is the key. Even your giving is considered a first fruit. It puts a positive spin on your finances.
- This is why many people do their CTWG in the morning. It’s “first” in their schedule.
- “kingdom” – not to be confused with an actual kingdom but rather the right or authorityto rule over a kingdom
- God wants His territory back! And its gotta come through you.
- The kingdom on earth was designed to be ruled by you. In the garden was the original intent. So, there was a setback in the garden. There was a push forward at the cross and resurrection.
- It’s time to take back the kingdom, take back the educational system, take back our workplace, take it back!
- You are in authority in this kingdom here on earth.
- All these things will be added unto you: It’s not just about you being blessed, it’s about you finishing your course. If you were to quit ministry today, God would still bless you. But the course set before you wouldn’t be completed.
- Added unto you is a byproduct of your consistent walk with God. It’s not the purpose, but it’s absolutely the byproduct.
Elijah:
The Lord appeared to Elijah and asked, “What are you doing HERE, Elijah?” (1 Kin. 19:9). Elijah wasn’t “THERE” anymore. His place called “THERE” was back in Samaria.
That means Elijah failed in two-thirds of the things the Lord told him to do.
Elijah went on to prophesy (1 Kin. 21:17-24), and he called the fire of God down two more times (2 Kin. 1:9-12).
- When I think about Elijah, I don’t know about you, but in my life 2/3rds would be a pretty good accomplishment. Maybe the saints in the room have done better, but for me this is great news.
- It reminds me of the movie Dumb and Dumber. “so, you’re saying there’s a chance…”
- Much more than a chance…there’s a promise.
- You didn’t screw up enough to deny you the promise.
- You didn’t screw up enough to not be blessed. You are God’s blessing to this society that you live in.
- Consistency gets you back in this mindset. The mindset of Jesus and how He feels about you!
- It reminds me of the movie Dumb and Dumber. “so, you’re saying there’s a chance…”
(KJV) Luke 22:31-32 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired [to have] you, that he may sift [you] as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
- “Sift as wheat“ – shaken to overthrow
- Satan’s desire is to overthrow you. He works on you in ways that shake your faith. He tells you that you missed it. He gets in your head.
- But Jesus has prayed even for your faith to be strong.
- Your consistency cancels that overthrow. It puts you in Jesus’ mindset. It keeps you believing what Jesus believes about you.
- Jesus prayer for His disciples
- John 17:6-19 – Jesus prays for you and I
- You’ll see Jesus’ heart in the way He prays for you in John 17.
- He believes in you, because you are Him here.
- (John 17:6-8 NIV) – “I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.
- Very interesting here, Jesus isn’t telling God about all the mistakes that His guys made. He isn’t telling God about their shakeable faith (at times). He doesn’t mention that it took them awhile to get it.
- He sees the good in His people. Even as imperfect as they (and we) were/are.
- “They have obeyed your Word…and they know.”
- He sees you finished through His finished work.
- John 17:6-19 – Jesus prays for you and I
- Application (where to start in consistency?):
- The Model (Lord’s) Prayer – prior to Him completely wiping out the enemy
- Worship
- Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
- Speak to the Mountains:Mark 11:23-24
- 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
- Supplication: Matt 7:7 (asking from the position that God already has released it!)
- • 11 Give us this day our daily bread.
- Speak to the mountains in our country, state, family, work, community, church
- See ourselves forgiven through the finished work of the cross
- 12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.
- Protection: Psalm 91
- 13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.
- Praise/thanks giving
- •For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
That’s your “How to” guide for this year and to start your CTWG.

CTWG week 1 – Pastor Tracy Boyd – 01/01/12 – notes & video
CTWG: Laying a foundation of prayer
Sunday January 1, 2012 by: Pastor Tracy Boyd
Beginning a series on Prayer….prayer is the key to a accessing God’s provision, purpose and significance
In its simplest form Prayer is a conversation with God. In a conversation there is a purpose and a transfer behind conversation: Direction (Luke 6:12-19), devotion (worship psalm 27), help, provision (Matt 7:7). It is giving and receiving. Sometimes we have conversations on behalf of another person (Daniel 10:10-14).
- In all of our conversations there is an expectancy
- Ask denotes insistent asking without qualms, not commanding God but solidly presenting a requisition whose items He longs to distribute
- Sit back to back: with out conversation we can not access what the other person has to give neither is there any growth in our relationship
2 Peter 1:2-3 (NKJ)
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
- Power: dynamis- strength, power, ability, inherent power, power to perform miracles
- Virtue: moral goodness
- Christ’s death released The “Will of God”
There is a store house of goods connected to the presence of God. We need to go to that location and access what He has made available.
Conversation/prayer is how we access God’s store house and how we grow in relationship with God.
Prayer begins with “Through the knowledge of Him”……
You can’t have true conversation with God with out His Word. The Word is His expressed will, His nature, who He is. It’s His Word that produces confidence in our relationship with Him. When we are reading His Word it is God speaking to us!
- When I first started my conversation with God I needed help because I was interpreting/hearing God’s voice through what the World put into me
In His presence there is fullness:
Psalm 16:11 (NKJ)
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
- There is a transfer that happens when we begin to be in His presence/ become aware of His presence: FULLNESS, ABUNDANCE.
- Patterns in the Word: those who sought the Lord…..showed up- honor, favor and abundance followed them.
Ground rules for prayer: without these prayer seems powerless!
- Acceptance: we must see our selves the way God sees us. He sees us through His son- He loves us!
- Faith: it takes faith to see ourselves accepted. It takes faith to see when we can’t see in the natural.
Psalm 23:4-6 (NKJ)
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
- In the presence of guilt, shame, condemnation, fear, lack, sickness
You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Anoint: fatten
Oil: represents favor/Grace-abundance; the NT it refers to Gods’ Spirit which is called the spirit of Grace
- You fatten me with your Spirit/Favor…there is so much it runs over
- A bull is so fat it breaks the yoke
- We don’t even realize that while we are in His presence ( in the middle of every enemy) He is filling us with supernatural realities that are breaking off yokes in our life
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life;
- Mercy is the unfailing, steadfast covenant love of God. This loving kindness is similar to the Nt word for Grace.
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.
- NOTHING shall separate me from His love!
When we seek God/have conversations with Him we allow ourselves to enter a rest. ( Actively a putting to rest, calming of the winds) TRUST
Hebrews 4:11(KJ)
1Let us labour (be diligent) therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Labor or be diligent to enter into His rest: the Labor is getting rid of unbelief in His goodness and love for us.
Labor or be diligent speaking to situations when they look as if they will never change.
Being diligent to be in His presence breaks the unbelief
Psalm 91:1 (NKJ)
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[
Labor or be diligent to enter into His rest: the Labor is getting rid of unbelief in His goodness and love for us.
Labor or be diligent speaking to situations when they look as if they will never change
Prayer gives us the opportunity to see more of Jesus and His love for us:
- Read: show up being aware of His presence and say, “I’m hearing our voice.”
- Worship: this is devotion. Why is this so important. As we worship He takes what we’ve read and makes it a reality in our life…puts puzzle pieces together
- Pray: seeking wisdom, direction, help
- Speak to mountains
Prayer is the key to our purpose provision and significance

God is working from north to south – praise report
Dear Pastor Tracy,
Just wanted to give you a quick praise report. When you last preached at the Troy campus, my nephew was visiting, as he was there to see his parents (my sister and brother in law) get water baptized. During the service you mentioned someone’s shoulder being healed. Today, he went in for his scheduled shoulder surgery, the 2 MRI’s showed a torn rotator cuff. When the surgeon came out of the operating room he reported despite two different doctors reading the MRI’s, when he went into the shoulder there was no tear to be found/repaired. It was at that time my nephew informed us that when you spoke the Word of healing that Sunday, he felt something happen to his shoulder, he knows the Lord healed him during that service. Praise The Lord! Our God is alive and working in his peoples lives, His promises are true and available to us, we need only to believe and receive. I thank God for you and the ministry of LCC. I look forward to seeing you on your next visit home, hope you can feel the spiritual hug I just gave you. You are a wonderful woman of God.

Luke 2:14 (NKJ)
“ Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
This song refers…..
Peace:
Peace: completeness, wholeness, peace, health, welfare, safety, soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.
It’s from the root word shalom meaning to be complete perfect and full. Jesus was bringing something man could not get on his own without supernatural intervention.
- In a broken selfish chaotic world an answer was coming
- The issues back then were no different than today: death, sickness, strife, war
Question: if that’s why He came why don’t we see global peace?
The kind of peach He came to bring was not the kind of peace Humanity was expecting:
- Tried to make him king
- If he was made king and the nature of man never changed natural peace will eventually turn to chaos and selfishness again because of a broken nature that is prone to sin and by default be manipulated by the devil.
In essence He came to program our inner man our spirit to be like Him
John 4:17(NKJ) As He is so are we in this world.
- Adam’s sin: sin cannot cohabitate with God; it gets destroyed
- Jesus came to fix what was broken
With out Christ coming and taking our sin on the Cross there would be no opportunity for Christ’s Spirit to come and live on the inside of us. In dealing with the sin issue on the cross He made a way for His very nature to live on the inside of us.
So with you and I filled with His nature and learning how to release that nature, the potential for community of peace becomes available!

God’s Glory is in You
Colossians 1:26-29: Message
26-29This mystery has been kept in the dark for a long time, but now it’s out in the open. God wanted everyone, not just Jews, to know this rich and glorious secret inside and out, regardless of their background, regardless of their religious standing. The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, so therefore you can look forward to sharing in God’s glory. It’s that simple. That is the substance of our Message.
Colossians 1:27 (NKJ) Christ in you the hope of Glory: the blue print of glory
Inside of you is the potential to experience Glory: Abundance, riches, honor, commerce, power, wisdom, revelation, promotion, nobility, valor, dignity, authority, privileged
Law of first mention
Genesis 31:1 (KJ)
And he heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father’s; and of that which was our father’s hath he gotten all this glory (wealth).
Glory: law of first mention = wealth!
Second time:
Numbers 14:11: Majority!
What does all of this working in our life equate too? Light
When wealth, honor, privilege, promotion wisdom revelation are operating in our life it becomes a light to the world around us of the grace of Jesus…. (Marriage, children, finances, doctors report, peace)
Matt 5:16(NKJ)
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works (ergon) and glorify your Father in heaven.
- Matt 11:2 “Works of Christ”
- Luke 24: 19 “Mighty in deeds”
- Acts of kindness: Kristen
Light has to affect you before it shines to others
Light is an answer from heaven that you have experienced then shines through you to others
- Luke 1:79 “ to give light to those who sit in darkness
- John 12:46I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.
- All of us are sitting in darkness somewhere in our life
How do we release that potential of glory into our lives
John 11: 40 (NKJ)
Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
Psalm 119:130 (NKJ) The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
- Pslam 91
- Un-forgiveness toward someone
- Hear a sermon how to love your wives and respect your wives: example Brian and Lira
Hear what he is saying in His Word
- Hope of Glory: God paints a picture in your soul through hearing the Word. Hearing the Word causes our believer to start working.
Then as we begin to say what God says we begin to truly receive the blue print and soon we see the glory in that situation.
Three things that prevent Gods glory effecting our life
- We don’t know it’s available: Vaccume
- We condemn ourselves and feel undeserving
- The people of Israel were not deserving of protection and wealth
- Not knowing how to access: Crank: incurable disease
The only effort in receiving God’s glory in our life is hearing and saying
Grace is the breath of speaking in faith
Jesus wants His light to shine in you so that it can shine through you to impact the world around you
We are the light of the World.
