Speaking the Word works

Sep 24, 2012   //   by Life Christian Church Naples Campus   //   Church  //  Comments Off

I just thought I would share a little good news in my life. I have been really praying and searching inward about my life’s calling and what I would be really good at, because I’m needing to make a career change. I’ve been struggling for quite some time with this tossing and turning inside myself to do something really profitable and moral at the same time. I was toying around with some ideas and just couldn’t decide what to do. I spoke to college counselors and friends asking advice about certain fields and still coming up sort of empty. Last year, I passed my real estate course at the very top of my class and took the state exam and passed it the very first time!! Not an easy task from what I have been told.

I started to venture out in real estate and quickly became discouraged and also lacked the finances to pay my board fees, etc. I chose to lay down the real estate career and just continue on with my current business. My business has continued to be profitable and has met our needs currently, but I just feel that there is more out there for me.

Last week, a reminder card came in the mail telling me that I have a course that I have to take in order to keep my license current for real estate and as I read it, I couldn’t help but wonder if I should take the course. I have been declaring God’s love for me over my life and telling God that I know he loves me and because he loves me, I have favor and grace and mercy and prosperity every day. I have also been asking God to reveal himself to me and speak audibly to me, because I have struggled with some indecisiveness. As I put this card into my Bible I said to myself, “I’m going to seek God and pray about this class.” My husband and I have been getting up every morning to pray over our lives and our children’s lives. We have never done this in the 7 1/2 years that we have been married. That in itself is a miracle!

The very next day after putting this card in my Bible, a local pastor that I have known for over 15 years called me and said I’ve been thinking about you for a couple of days now and wanted to call you and see how you are doing. Now this pastor is also a very profitable man, because he and his wife are both realtors and very busy!! Without me mentioning real estate to him, he began telling me why I need to continue my career as a realtor!! I think that was the audible voice that I’ve been praying for and the answer to my prayers as to what career change I needed to make!!!! We also have wanted to move closer to town and that has also been on our prayer list. As a realtor the thousands of dollars that we would save is unbelievable.

God has a plan to give me a hope and a future and to make me prosperous beyond my dreams. I just have to trust him and keep speaking his word into action! Thank you all for teaching us such tremendous things that remind us to speak into fruition what God wants us to have!

Speak the Word, it works

Three simple words

Sep 17, 2012   //   by Life Christian Church Naples Campus   //   Church  //  Comments Off

Three simple words.

God is good.
This afternoon I received some news that was not very good.  Following the
advice that I have learned from Life, I turned it over to God.
Within minutes of trusting that God would guide me as I prayed for a word to
stand on, I was interrupted by a page on my company cell phone. I did not
recognize the number, but the text was so simple, \”God is good\”.  Turning
back to my bible I opened to the book of John, chapter 14, Jesus, the Way to
the Father.

Trusting God; knowing that indeed God is good all the time, and accepting
that revelation is always in His timing are proven principles to build on.

I do not always understand why things happen, but I know without a doubt
that through faith understanding comes through believing.

God is good all the time

Overwhelmed series “Favor” by: Pastor Tracy (notes/video)

Overwhelmed series: Overwhelmed with Favor/Blessing

Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012            Pastor Tracy

Overwhelmed series "Favor" message by: Pastor Tracy Boyd

Intro: Open up with the story of the bathroom overflowing.

Last week: Pastor James talked about how God wants to overwhelm our overwhelm. Rather than us trying to fix things or be blessed in our own self- efforts, God wants to overwhelm us with His strategies and solutions. Ishmael was Abraham trying to get make the blessing happen with his efforts. Isaac was totally the grace God!

This week: God wants to overwhelm us with the Blessing!

Jesus removed what prevented the blessing-Sin! Sin attracts destruction; Righteousness attracts the blessing

Galatians 3:13 (NKJ)

13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

  • Abraham’s blessings encompass the whole man. God did not leave an area out. Abraham was:
    • Wealthy: Gen 13:1 He was rich in cattle, much gold an silver
    • Healthy: had a baby at 100 years old, went out to have more children after Sarah died, gave up his spirit…..didn’t die in illness
    • Victorious: went up against 5 kings and their armies and beat them with his 318 trained servants.
  • Abraham was overwhelmed with the blessing of God; God wants to overwhelm us with His blessing.

Our Benefit package

  • Psalm 103:1-5 (NKJ)

Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

  • Forget not His benefits- he was keeping it before him which keeps it alive
  • Heals
  • Redeems your life from destruction- protection
  • Crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercy-acceptance
  • Who satisfies your mouth with good things- wealth- most of the time when we struggle in finances we worry and get into anxiety! We age instead of stay young
  • So that our youth is renewed like the eagle-long life
  • Jesus came to restore the whole man
    • Matt 6:6 (NKJ)

And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.

  • Evil in Greek its poneros- deliver us from the entire curse of sin upon man
  • Poneeros, came from the root word ponos meaning pain.
  • Ponos came from the root word penes, meaning poor
  • Evil-sin, pain-sickness, poor-poverty
  • Notice how it begins with forgives…..why because sin attracts destruction. Righteousness attracts the blessing. In the greatness of God he removed sin!
  • The righteous are blessed:

Psalm 5:12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield

  • We wear Jesus and the blessing is attracted to His Righteousness that He has given to us (magnets, dust)
  • It is a shield of protection the enemy fears

The blessing exists in an unseen realm

Psalm 31:19-20 (NKJ)

Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!20 You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues.

  • Laid up- it is in an unseen realm
  • Trust- we must believe this based on relationship. When we believe this we begin to wear Him- Faith makes the withdrawals from the unseen realm.
  • Every time we spend time in God’s presence and meditating His word there is a transfer of the blessing
    • Psalm 1:3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
    • We can’t see how that tree is being fed; we just see the outward results. Through nature God is showing us something. THERE IS A TRANSFER IN THE UNSEEN REALM!
    • We don’t realize we are being filled up it is in an unseen realm but eventually it spills over into this realm. Just as a constant drip from a sink will eventually fill a bucket and overflow so it is with us!
    • God mad the first move in hopes we would be in such awe we would continue to pursue Him. Every time we would pursue Him He would continue to pour so that His goodness would lead to repentance and transformation.

Conclusion: If we believed that the benefit package of psalm 103 was being transferred a little at a time every time we were with God we would show up regularly. God hungers to pour out the blessing!

Communion Text Testimony

A friend at the church was asking if she could take an extra communion article home with her to take during the week, because she felt like God was leading her to take communion at home that week.  Of course, we were excited to send a communion article home with her.  She took the communion and believed God for the promises that are tied to communion to come to pass in her life.  Just like the word says, it came to pass.

Take a look at the text that was sent after taking communion and seeing the power of God in manifestation.

The Word Will Profit You by: Pastor Sarah (video/notes)

SEPTEMBER 2, 2012 Pastor Sarah

The Word Will Profit You

Pastor Sarah Marie Gardner Naples, FL

Romans 1:8 – First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout Naples.

This church is great because of your giving of yourself, because of your serving. You have truly taken ownership of your church.

You are truly living what we preach. This is the reputation that every Christian has to have.

I am in the room with the most powerful people because you are a giver. I am a great believer that when we give, our faith grows.

Baby Christians want instant gratification.

No, we prayer then we expect a miracle. We witness first then we look for a change in people. We invest before we see a return.

James 1:22 AMP –

22 But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth].

You see, salvation is totally free. But to obtain other things from God we need to learn to cooperate with God.

Become doers of the Word and we will profit you.

And then you can influence others to profit too.

I have profited and I have helped others to profit.

There was a girl in our church who had Crones disease. The doctors had taken out quite a bit of her intestines. This disease kept eating up the intestines and the doctors had given up

After the third surgery, she was not recuperating. She was unresponsive. The mother called for prayer. Tracy and I went and we prayed and did not see any change. It was 1am in the morning.

We were just leaving when the Holy Spirit said to me, “If Mark 11:23 would be obeyed, she doesn’t have to die, she can live”.

Mark 11: 23

23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

I talked to the mother to say, “My daughter shall live”. The mother stayed up all night long saying, “My daughter shall live, my daughter shall live”.

After she had been saying, “My daughter shall live” another scripture came to her during this time.

Psalm 30:5 “Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning”.

In the morning, joy came, because she started to see a sign of life in her daughter. In 2 weeks she went home and got free from that terrible disease. God restored her body and she is alive today.

Pastor Sarah, “Why did she have to say it so many times?”                I’m glad you asked.

When you start declaring the promises, you really don’t have faith. You are in doubt. You are wavering.

James 1:7 – For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;

We need to offer sacrifices of our words to God. Why is it a sacrifice? Because our natural mind doesn’t want to do that.

Hebrews 10:36 – For you have need of endurance (patience), so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

Notice “after you have done the will of God” – you receive the promise.

If you show God faith and patience, God will come on the scene.

He is waiting on you to build your faith. When you do, He joins you.

God said to me, “I will bless anyone on earth according to what I hear from them”.

God needs you and me. We need Him. He is the supernatural power; we are the natural channels He uses.

We work together with God.

A man had a vision and saw the devil.  He was so scared and Jesus appeared and stood in the middle of them.  The man thought that Jesus was going to fight the devil, instead the man looked at Jesus and he saw that Jesus’ feet came into his feet, his arm came into his arm, Jesus whole body took over his whole body. Then the man said to the devil, “Bow to me”.  And the devil bowed to the man. Then the man said, “Go from me”, and the devil fled from him.

When you repeat certain promises, your faith grows. Then somehow, your faith matches God’s faith and God joins your voice and He Himself speaks through you to the mountain and the mountain is removed and the miracle takes place.

Remember that without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

How many want to please God?

We do not want to close the service without giving you an opportunity to make Jesus your Lord. Just say “Jesus I repent of my sin, come into my heart. I make you the Lord of my life”.

If you said that prayer for the first time, please raise your hand. We want to celebrate with you.

Conversion testimony (Spanish & English)

A testimony from our Hispanic Ministry (Spanish Version below)

To God be the Glory, for this testimony and for what God started to do in this woman’s life and in all of the members of her family.

Her family has been praying for her since a long time ago.   Last Friday, while I was in a Pastoral visitation  @ her house, she shared with me what happened to her during the Sunday service at Life Christian Church (LCC):

“That Sunday morning, I started feeling a strong desire to be healed and be delivered for a long life living in witchcraft” (that’s what she’s done for a living).  She started noticing that many members of her family have been serving at LCC in both the English and Spanish services, and their lives were starting to change…this is a very big family, 20 of their members are coming to our church and some are even actually serving in the ministry.

“I looked for the church by myself, I arrived to the service…during Communion time, I took the bread & the wine in my hand, all of a sudden one of my siblings approached me and and encourage me not to take it, that I’m not a Christian, that I practice witchcraft and that this is a sacrilege!!!…..I didn’t pay attention to him, instead, I prayed: “Lord, if it is truth what the Pastor is saying and you are real, you are going to heal me and all of this pain is going to leave my body and YOU are going to show me the way I’m going now, witchcraft or Christianity”, immediately, after these words,  I felt I was healed and the pain from my left foot was gone!

During Pastor Julio’s message about “Alternative Endings”, I understood that GOD was talking to me!  He was giving me the answers (specially  when P. Julio mentioned about witchcraft), that God has an eternal purpose for each person, that I don’t have to be poor, sick, living without hope and peace, that God has an alternative ending, an abundant Life to those who accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour!  Now, I want to serve in the church, get involved, and learn to live a new life!

Glory be to GOD!!!!, This woman’s testimony is one of the many testimonies that are happening to the people in our community that are in need of GOD’s love, and God is bringing them to Life Christian Church, to show them the grace, love and compassion HE has for the hungry souls that are looking for Jesus and they are found by HIM!

“BECAUSE THE SON OF MAN HAS COME TO FIND AND SAVE WHAT HAS BEEN LOST…” (Luke 17)

Gloria a Dios!!.

(Lc. 17)

The appraisal

Aug 28, 2012   //   by Life Christian Church Naples Campus   //   Church  //  Comments Off

I am a residential real estate appraiser. On Thursday, the bank that I get most of my work from sent an email wanting me to verify the square footage of a home I recently inspected. It was a foreclosed property and the listing agent thought the square footage may be off.

When I originally inspected the home, I was in a hurry and forgot to measure the second story. When I wrote up the report I noticed I had forgotten to measure the second story. Instead of driving back up to Fort Myers area to measure, I decided to use the public record. The pubic record is correct 99% of the time.

When the bank asked me to verify the square footage, I decided to go back to Fort Myers and remeasure.

Now, mind you, this was a huge home, 3,600 square foot in living area, but when I remeasured I realized that the public records were off by 1,200 square feet. I had appraised it as 4,800 square feet home.

This is a really HUGE deal. It was a HUGE mistake. All I could do was to be honest, admit my mistake and ask for forgiveness. I could easily get fired for this or the bank could cut me off as an appraiser and as I said before, I get most of my work from them. This could be devastating.

I sent an email to my boss explaining everything Saturday evening and rewrote the appraisal with the correct square footage. Sunday morning he responded back that he wanted me to call him Monday morning at 9am sharp. We were going to have a long discussion on how this could happen and how to measure a home.

The Holy Spirit led me to speak to Pastor James about this and to pray for me along with a few others. Pastor James suggested I make sure I have peace in my heart before I spoke to my boss.

I woke up early Monday morning and continued my exercise in “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me”. That was suggested by Pastor Sarah Marie on Thursday night. I prayed and then decided to do some bible homework that  I am working on. I completed question 1, then question 2 said to write out verse 2 of Isaiah 43.

NLT version is “When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lord spoke. I had my answer. Complete peace.

Next, I called my boss. I did get a bit of a lecture, for good reason, but he told me he would go to bat for me with the bank. He would let me know later in the day how it went. He did tell me it could go either way; they could understand the situation and let me continue appraising for them or could cut me off completely. At this point it was totally in the Lord’s hands.

I went about my day, inspected 4 homes in Naples and Bonita Springs and had to drive to Fort Myers for a new MLS key. At approximately 4pm, my boss called me on my cell. He had spoken to the folks in charge at the bank and their response was “Oh, so he’s human” and forgave me and have asked that I write up a letter to send to Lee County to have the taxes lowered due to the incorrect square footage of the home. WOW!!!!!!!

Yea, God has shown up mightily. I was and am highly favored. He is with me. I can do all things through Christ who straightens me. All things are possible for those who believe and are called according to his purpose.

I serve a mighty GOD. PRAISE HIM!!!

Pastors James and Tracy Boyd "Prayer Words"

Review:

Week 1: words have creative power, we follow our words, words change the matter in our life God’s Word is the most powerful thing coming out of our mouths

Week 2: difference between confessing sin and confessing the Word. Jesus doesn’t have to translate to God His Word. If we want heaven on Earth we need  to speak like heaven instead of earth, confess your way to victory; God himself speaks through your mouth (teruwah)

Week 3: When we meditate the Word we are not only building unshakeable faith, we are also keeping ourselves in Gods constant supply of His resources. When we meditate we are taking that which exists in God’s realm and bringing it into our realm.

This week: Declaring the Word is the most Powerful prayer

1. Jesus spoke to situations and invites us to do the same

  • Back ground: Jesus was showing them through the cursing of the fig tree principles of how they are to exist as His representatives in the earth. He spoke to the fig tree saying, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again. The next day they saw the fig tree again but it was dried up from the root!
  • Mark 11:20-21 (NKJ)

20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”

  • When Jesus cursed the tree and it died at the root!
    • Jesus doesn’t deal with your problem on the surface. He digs it up at the root, so it can’t come back!
      • Sometimes you can’t see the root, and that’s where the problem resides. That’s where He starts, where you can’t see. That’s why we say His Word!
      • Importance of speaking the Word: Many times we can only see it on the surface, and that’s not the place to cut it off for good. The root is where the Word that comes out of your mouth goes.
      • Poison Ivytreat the surface and it will still spread; itch it and it will still spread
        • •Steroids from the doctor treats the root and gets rid of it

Mark 11:22-24 (NKJ)

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

  • 3 times say, 1 time believe.
  • Saying causes doubt to flee
  • SAYING THE WORD INCREASES OUR FAITH TO BELIEVE IN WHAT WE ARE SAYING

Story of James with sinus infection

  • Saying the Word over me, and I believed…instead of believing that I was going to the hospital

2. Speaking the Word is the most Powerful prayer

James 5:17 (NKJ)

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.

  • Back ground: people had turned to idolatry. God for 80 years sent prophets telling them to turn back. Their was a Palestinian covenant that involved the land that if they did not follow God the land would spit them out.
  • Elijahs prayer: 1 Kings 17:1 (NKJ)As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”
    • oHe took Gods Word and turned into his word.  Convinced of his power with Gods Word/promise.
    • Background: show down between the prophets of Baal and God.
    • As soon as the people turned back to God look what happens:

1 Kings 18:41-44(NKJ)

Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.”

Then Elijah goes to praying again!

42 So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, 43 and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.”

So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.”

44 Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’”

  • Carmel: “garden-land”
    • We get back to the promise when we state the Word.
    • Sound: law of first reference – Genesis 3:8 (Gods voice)
    • Abundance: law of first reference – Genesis 17:4 (covenant)
      • Gods Word on your lips is covenant action taking place
      • Prepare: faith the size of a man’s hand turned into a mighty rain
        • oHook your faith to His Word, and powerful things happen.
          • •Similar to the jeep story. Your faith might just need a boost or a tow. The Word will do that.

James 5:17-18 (NKJ)

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.

18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

  • Simply declaring God’s Word was considered earnest powerful prayer
    • Bending down/kneeling and praying 7 times is prayer.
  • We think bending down and praying 7 times is earnest prayer. God calls declaring His

Earnest: serious in intention, purpose, or effort; sincerely zealous

Earnestly: synagogue; holy place – Gods Word takes you to the Holy Place; the place of promise

  • We connect earnest prayer to action; God connects earnest prayer to His Word.

Story of praying over Mom when she felt she was dying or Daniela Fever.

3. Saying the Word increases our faith and causes mountains or matter to move

Luke 17:5-6 (NKJ)

And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

6 So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

  • The word say is in an active tense- its saying keep saying until the situation changes!
  • As you say your faith increases
  • As you say we resist obstacles the enemy has set up.
  • Jesus cursed the fig tree and it died at the root. We can curse roots that have held us back; lack, bitterness, shame, un-forgiveness, addictions
  • Increase: another term for “increase” is “gather”
    • This shows a gathering of your faith and His when you state the Word/promise.
  • Small faith (mustard seed), big results(tree plucked out by roots).  Put God to work on your situations with whatever faith you can muster.  He will take it from there.  He will gather your faith and His and do the impossible.
    • The Word stops the flow of food to your negative situation.  That is why He states “roots” in these scriptures.  If the roots of your problem are ineffective, the problem goes away for good.  Long lasting power!
    • Hook your faith up to His faith (His Word)
  • Speak to roots that have been in your life, see them uprooted. Dont stop until you see in the natural the manifestation

Daughters’ (x2) prayers answered

Daughters Prayers Answered

Recently my daughter was worried and concerned about her significant other
who was not accepted to the medical school where they both were applying to
attend. Thinking this would be a good opportunity to pray with her, we both
prayed on the phone together. Knowing that God says when two or more are
together in his name He is in the midst, we prayed that God would open a door
for him that no man could shut, and he would get into the same Medical
school.

After, the call ended. I prayed Lord this would be a good time for
you to show them who you are. Three months later, I got a call that at the
last minute, he got a notice that he had been accepted, not only to the same
school, but the same class.

Praise the Lord.. Later that week my second daughter called me and I was explaining the testimony about her sisters prayer with me and how God answered it. During our conversation, she was
very depressed about not having any work all summer and she was interviewing
for a job tomorrow. I said well lets pray about it. We prayed that when two
or more are together in the name of Jesus, he is in the midst. Lord we pray
that you would open a door that no man could shut and get her this very job.

After the call I prayed Lord this would be a good time you show my daughter
who you are. She got the job the very next day, at the interview.

Praise the Lord
