What we believe (Core Values)

About God
We believe in one triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.
Genesis 1:1, 1:26-27, 3:22 Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 1:2

About the Scriptures
We believe and teach that the Bible is the Word of God written through human authors who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. The scriptures are our supreme source of truth for Christian belief and we are to take in, speak and live God’s Word. We believe that God’s Word is timeless and it works the same in our Life as it did yesterday, today and forever.
Psalm 12:6, Psalm 119:160, Proverbs 30:5, John 14:12, 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21

About Humanity
We believe that God created all people in His image to have fellowship with Him but became alienated and fell out of that relationship through disobedience. As a result we are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through our own efforts apart from Jesus.
Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 3:8-11, John 14:6

About Jesus
Jesus Christ is the son of God. Jesus lived a sinless human life shedding His blood as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on the cross.
1 Peter 2:21-25, Hebrews 10:10

About Salvation
We believe we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus. We believe that those who confess with their mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart God raised Him from the dead will also be raised from the dead. God freely offers forgiveness of sins for those who place their faith in Jesus. This grace is not from ourselves it is the gift of God.
John 14:6, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 5:1, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9, Titus 3:5, Galatians 3:26

About Eternity
Man was created to exist forever. Salvation begins here and then continues in heaven.
Gen.2:16-17, 3:22, 1 Cor. 15:53-54

About Restoration
We believe that God is love. As His born anew child He loves us so much He sent His son to die for us. God’s greatest power was displayed in Christ’s resurrection. Jesus defeated satan to bring us back to the original order of the abundant life our Father created us for. This abundant life includes healing in body and spirit through faith in the Name of Jesus.
John 3:16, John 10:10, 1 John 4:7-13, 1 Corinthians 2:9, Galatians 3:13, Ephesians 1:19-23, Acts 3:16, 4:10, 4:30, 1 Peter 2:24-25

About Christian life
We believe and teach that Christianity is about positive life change and that this change is a process. We were created in God’s image and when we are born anew we are to grow to reflect His character.
Genesis 1:26-27, Matthew 22:37-39, Matthew 28:18-20, The Great Commandments and The Great Commission, Ephesians 2:10, Galatians 5:22-25

About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to those who believe.
1 Corinthians 1, He2:4-6, 1 Corinthians 12:11, Hebrews 2:4

About the Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus is the head. As the church we are representing God’s love to a lost and hurting world. His love in us compels us to bring as many as possible into His loving family to prepare for Christ’s return.
John 17:20-26, Ephesians 1:4-14, Ephesians 2:6-10

About Prayer
We believe it is through prayer we access God by the name of Jesus Christ. Prayer in the name of Jesus is the strongest power available to humankind.
John 16:23-26, 1 John 3:22, Mark 11:24

About Communion
We believe we are to celebrate communion in the remembrance of all Jesus has done for us. The elements of bread and wine (or juice) are symbols of Christ’s blood that was shed and His body that was broken.
Luke 22:19, 1 Corinthians 11:24-25

About Baptism
We believe water baptism is your declaration that you have been saved. As we enter the water it represents Jesus’ death. As one rises up out of the water it represents His resurrection. Baptism is an outward reflection of us leaving our old life and rising again to our new life in Christ.
Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:41

About Offerings
The bible is very clear that it is scriptural to financially support a local church that is advancing the message of Jesus Christ. For those that financially supported the apostle Paul’ s ministry, he wrote, “my God shall supply all of your need according to His riches in glory.” (Philippians 4:19) It was known to the Philippian believers that God would bless their obedient giving.

Here at Life, we believe our giving comes from a heart of gratitude for all that Jesus has done for us. We give out of our love for God. In response, God promises to “open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.” (Malachi 3:11)
